Bessemans, Joseph François Antoine Albert

Belgian physician and public official who became active in
many branches of parapsychology beginning in 1913. Bessemans
held many academic appointments during his distinguished
career. He investigated such phenomena as clairvoyance,
psychometry, and ESP, although his conclusions were
skeptical.
