Central Psi Research Institute
Founded in 1977 with a membership of statisticians, psychologists,
physicists, and others interested in paranormal phenomena.
The institute was dedicated to furthering the development
of parapsychology and working to integrate
parapsychology into the established academic and scientific
arena. Activities included research projects, a midwestern premonitions
registry, spontaneous case study files, and a comprehensive
education file on parapsychology teachers and courses.
The institute offered support services for persons who experience
paranormal phenomena daily, conducted in-service educational
programs, and arranged classes for educational
groups locally. The emphasis was on skepticism and empiricism.
The institute published a bimonthly newsletter and a
journal, Insights. Last known address 4800 N. Milwaukee
Ave., Ste. 210, Chicago, IL 60630.
