Freeman, John Albert (1920 )
Psychologist and parapsychologist. He was born January 15,
1920, and studied at Ouachita College, Arkadelphia, Arkansas;
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky;
and Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.
Freeman was a staff member of the Department of Psychology
at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee (195356) and
head of the Department of Psychology at Wayland Baptist College
in Plainview, Texas (195660). A charter member of the
Parapsychological Association, Freeman set up the parapsychology
laboratory at Wayland Baptist College. In 1960 he became
a research associate at the Parapsychology Laboratory
at Duke University and became the author of many papers on
the paranormal
