Founded by Anna Kingsford and Edward Maitland in London,
England, in 1884, connected with the Theosophical Society
of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Occultists S. L. MacGregor
Mathers and W. Wynn Westcott lectured to the society before
launching the famous Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
