International Cooperation Council
A New Age organization formed as an international coordinating
body for educational, scientific, cultural, and religious
organizations that ‘‘foster the emergence of a new universal
person and a civilization based on unity in diversity among all
peoples.’’ Originally formed to propagate the ideals and activities
of several such organizations during the International Cooperation
Year, it was voted into being in 1965 by the General
Assembly of the United Nations. It has since been reformed
under the title Unity-in-Diversity Council, with the aim of
linking metaphysical and New Age groups worldwide.
