Johnson, Raynor C(arey) (1901–1987)
Master of Queen’s College, University of Melbourne, Australia,
author, and writer on parapsychology. Born April 5,
1901, at Leeds, England, he studied at Bradford Grammar
School, Balliol College, Oxford, and the University of London
(B.A., M.A., D.S.). He was also awarded an honorary doctorate
by the University of Melbourne.
Johnson was successively a lecturer in physics, Queen’s University
of Belfast; lecturer in physics, King’s College, University
of London; and master of Queen’s College, University of Melbourne
(from 1934 on). He was a member of the Society for
Psychical Research, London, and wrote various books on
physics and on paranormal topics.
Johnson died on May 16, 1987.
