Journal of Occult Studies
Short-lived quarterly publication of the Occult Studies
Foundation, in cooperation with the University of Rhode Island,
as ‘‘an interdisciplinary approach to Paranormal Phenomena.’’
Beginning in May 1977 it published several issues
until 1980, when its name was changed to MetaScience Quarterly
and the foundation name to MetaScience Foundation. The
change of name reflected reservations about the contemporary
connotations of the word occult, since the MetaScience Foundation
intends to maintain a high standard of scientific information
in the field of parapsychology and related subjects. Address
MetaScience Quarterly, Box 32, Kingston, RI 02881.
