Stafford-Clark, David (1916– )
British consulting physician and authority on psychiatry
with interests in parapsychology. He was born March 17, 1916,
in Bromley, Kent, England and studied at Guy’s Hospital, London,
and the University of London (M.D.).
Stafford-Clark was a consulting physician at the Department
of Psychological Medicine, Guy’s Hospital (1950–74), Bethlem
Royal and Maudsley Hospitals, and the Institute of Psychiatry
from 1954. He was a member of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s
Commission of Divine Healing, and attended the Conferences
on Parapsychology and Pharmacology in July 1959 at
St. Paul de Vence, France. Stafford-Clark has authored a number
of books, though none on parapsychology.
