Witch Balls
Decorative items made of glass or metal, used as ornaments
and to avert ill fortune or witchcraft. These appear to date from
the eighteenth century. One variety favored by antique collectors
and occultists is that manufactured in Nailsea, near Bristol,
England. These balls are full of swirling colors.
